Dr. James King Dr. James King has served as the Deputy Director, Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense Information Analysis Center (CBRNIAC) for over 9 years. CBRNIAC is operated by Battelle Memorial Institute under contract to the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC). Prior to assuming the position of Deputy Director, CBRNIAC, Dr. King spent over 22 years in the DoD serving in a variety of senior level management and research and development positions. He was appointed Chief of the Pharmacology and the Research Operations Divisions at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense, the organization responsible for development of medical countermeasures to chemical agents. As Senior Staff Officer in the Army’s Medical Chemical Defense Program, he was responsible for overseeing planning, budgeting, and execution of the Joint Medical Chemical Defense Program. While at the U.S. Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory and the U.S. Army Human Engineering Laboratory (HEL), Dr. King undertook a range of human factors research, planning, and management challenges to include serving as a Division Chief and Commander & Deputy Director at HEL. He has also been a research officer at the U.S. Army Health Care Studies and Clinical Investigation Activity and the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense. Dr. King holds a B.A. in History from New York University and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington. Dr. King lives in Maryland with his wife and two children. |
