Mr. Harrison has over 20 years of government and commercial experience
in directing and supporting operational programs and technology development
efforts involving geospatial intelligence, all-source intelligence analysis,
location-based technology, geospatial interoperability and next-generation
enterprise architectures.
Mr. Harrison is the co-founder of The Carbon Project and has managed and
led research and development programs and applied science projects for
the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, major systems integrators
and the international standards community. Throughout his career with
the government and in the private sector, Mr. Harrison has been responsible
for development and planning of strategic geospatial intelligence concepts,
architectures and technology. While with the Open Geospatial Consortium,
Inc. (OGC) Mr. Harrison conceptualized and led development of the entire
OGC Spatial Data Infrastructure 1.0 (SDI 1.0) specification baseline now
being adopted by organizations across the world as an enterprise interoperability
platform. Mr. Harrison is the recipient of an Exceptional Performance
Award from the Director of Central Intelligence, several Meritorious Unit
Citations and Special Achievement Awards, and numerous other awards. Mr.
Harrison is an internationally recognized speaker and panelist for the
location services and geospatial community.
