Gene Sokolowski Mr. Sokolowski has over 35 years of telecommunications and information systems experience in the private, public, and defense sectors. He currently serves as Deputy Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for identifying and evaluating emerging technologies that can be applied to future product and service offerings in GSA’s IT portfolio. He previously served as Deputy to the Networx Program Manager and assisted in all aspects of the Networx Enterprise and Universal acquisitions. As a senior systems analyst in the private sector, he held various project management positions at Northrop Grumman including engineering of nation-wide fiber optic networks, developing global combat search and rescue communications systems, assessing military and commercial communications satellite vulnerabilities, and evaluating emerging communications technologies for advanced military applications. As an Air Force Communications-Computer Systems Officer, he held various command and staff positions in Joint, NATO, and USAF assignments throughout the United States, Pacific, and Europe that included joint combat operations, intelligence communications, crisis action planning, force readiness assessment, and command and control systems acquisition.
