Michael Duffy

Michael Duffy is currently a Deputy Chief Information Officer for the U.S. Department of Justice. In this capacity, Mr. Duffy directs the development of the Department’s information sharing strategy, and the deployment of the Integrated Wireless Network, a tactical wireless communications system being developed in partnership with the Departments of Homeland Security and the Treasury. Mr. Duffy also manages the Department’s electronic government program and coordinates Department-wide information technology policy processes.

Over the past decade, Mr. Duffy has held a range of senior information technology management positions in the Department including Director of Telecommunications, Director of Information Management and Security, and the Program Manager for the Justice Consolidated Office Network. He also has experience in federal financial management and strategic planning.

Mr. Duffy earned a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Massachusetts and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowdoin College.
