Mr. Ed di Girolamo is CEO of both Applied Science International and The Steel Network.  With more than 25 years experience in building design, construction, and software development, Mr. di Girolamo is a named inventor on more than 10 patents.  In 1994, he founded TSN to design and manufacture products for the light steel framing industry and is today developing engineering software used by thousands of structural engineers. In 2004, he formed ASI to develop software applications to improve the integrity of structures. ASI’s hallmark achievement is the extensive development and implementation of the new Applied Element Method (AEM) for the analysis of structures and glass under extreme loading conditions including blast, progressive collapse, wind, and earthquake. ASI now provides Vulnerability Assessment and Risk Management Services with its unique set of software tools and technologies.
