Christian Beckner Christian Beckner is a majority professional staff member with the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, chaired by Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman (ID-CT). His responsibilities on the committee staff include intelligence and information-sharing issues. Before joining the committee staff, Beckner worked as a managing consultant at IBM in its Business Consulting Services division, and also founded and wrote the well-reputed blog Homeland Security Watch (http://www.hlswatch.com/). Before working for IBM, he worked as a fellow in the Homeland Security Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), and has also worked on homeland security issues for the Civitas Group and The O’Gara Company. He holds an MBA and Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) from Georgetown University and a BA from Stanford University.
