About this Conference:

Building security managers are not only responsible for their buildings, but for the safety of their building's occupants. The primary concern during events is to move as many people to safe areas as possible in the shortest amount of time. The Building Security for Managers Conference will provide you with hands-on, practical approaches and innovative methods to maintain high levels flexibility in responding to events through cooperation with municipal fire and police departments, tenants, visitors and contractors. Densely populated complexes, whether low level or high-rise, offer specific challenges dealing with populations which may include people with physical disabilities and language barriers. While the terrorist attacks of 9/11 brought building life safety procedures clearly into focus, it is the everyday procedures that keep tenants and visitors confident.

The Building Security for Managers Conference, directed at Security Management responsible for populated space, will address issues such as physical barrier security, social barrier procedures and threats from within the tenant population. Life Safety procedures including fire drills, shelter in place conditions and medical emergencies will be presented by industry and first-responder experts. Communication with tenants and media will be addressed. The conference will draw attendees from the nation’s most recognizable buildings, providing you with considerable opportunity for networking.
